Adopt-A-Project is designed to be a win-win partnership between Camp Ewalu and those who want to enjoy a greater involvement in, and gain greater benefit from, this ministry and its resources.  We have projects of all sizes that will help maintain and renovate Camp Ewalu’s facilities for both summer campers and year-round visitors.

You or your group can adopt projects in one of the following ways:

  • Fund the entire project and volunteer your time to completing it
  • Fund all or a portion of a project but leave the work to volunteers/hired labor
  • Agree to volunteer for a whole project, but wait for others to provide funding

Guidelines

Scheduling of work must be arranged through the Property Manager and/or the Camp Office.  Work to be performed, as well as provision for any volunteer meals, lodging and activities, must not conflict with guest related activities and comfort.  All volunteers shall check in at the front office upon arrival and must sign the Volunteer Waiver Form. Volunteer groups will be responsible for their own discipline and safety while on site.  Camp Ewalu staff are available to give service, direction and assistance when needed. Volunteers may eat in the dining hall when if meals are being served, use the grounds during the day, and may lodge overnight during the project with six (6) hours per day of work effort. Camp Ewalu will give credit to the all individuals/groups that donate or volunteer for the specific adoptable project on our website.
