Fall Volunteer Work Saturday
This fall we are hosting two Volunteer Work Saturdays on September 28th and October 19th. These are great oppotunities to join other volunteers, families, and church groups help Ewalu get ready for the winter season. It's also a wonderful time to explore camp, get to know some camp staff and volunteers, and return home renewed and refreshed from your time in this special place in God's Kingdom. Are your elementary students ready for an awesome adventure at Camp Ewalu? Youth will explore their faith while learning about prayer, prayer practices and different ways to tune in and talk to God. Time will fly by with fun games, meaningful Bible studies, yummy meals, and even a campfire! Enjoy a sleepover in cool cabins with your new friends and caring camp counselors. The annual meeting for Camp Ewalu and Retreat Center is postponed indefinitely at this time in compliance with the Iowa Department of Health and CDC guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. COVID-19 Update: Camp Ewalu will be open this Saturday, May 2nd, for Volunteer Work Weekend with some changes and safety precautions. Work projects are only scheduled for Saturday We will no longer be offering lodging. We will keep all work groups under the ten-person limit. A sack lunch will be provided rather than a buffet-style meal. We also encourage volunteers to bring face masks to wear while working. Your whole extended family is invited to Ewalu for a wonderful 3-day weekend! Come stay in comfy cabins or pitch your tent in our beautiful family campground.
